Please be advised that Kuli Kuli Foods of Oakland, Ca, has circulated an unauthorized Star-K letter of Certification on Moringa products to its wholesale customers.  Kuli Kuli has never been certified by Star-K.

Please note that the Kombucha Berry Mint flavor produced by Living Foods is NOT certified by Kosher Certified Service (Rabbi Frankel) even though the product carries the Kosher Certification symbol.  Living Foods has been notified and has taken corrective action.  

From The AKC: Pererg Basmati Brown Rice recall

All lot codes of Pereg Basmati Brown Rice have been recalled due to insect infestation inside the rice shell.  This rice cannot be easily checked or cleaned and is not recommended.

Red Gold Tomato Ketchup in 1 oz. “Dunk” Cups are not O/U certified and do NOT bear an O/U.  Only Red Gold products with an O/U symbol are Kosher certified.

From The COR: Greek Style Pita Bread from Kordas Baking Co.

Greek Style Pita Bread from Kordas/Metropolitan Baking Co. that does not bear the K-COR symbol, or that has the symbol covered by a sticker, is NOT certified by the Council of Orthodox Rabbis/Vaad Harabbonim.  Packages that DO bear the K-COR are certified Kosher, but not Pas Yisroel.  

From The COR: Grapefruits at Costco

AM Fresh North America Grapefruit, currently being sold at many Costco stores in the U.S., are produce of Israel, as stated on the stickers, the plastic bag closure and the case.  These are Shemitah produce and should not be purchased.  If already purchased, consult you Rav for guidance.  

From The COR: Snapple Elements “Fire” Dragon Fruit Juice Drink

Snapple Elemints “Fire” Dragon Fruit Juice Drink contains grape juice.  It is NOT Kosher certified and does NOT bear an O/K.  Only those Snapple drinks that bear the O/K symbol are Kosher (be sure to check for their pareve/dairy statues.  A plain O/K symbol indicates pareve, O/Kd is dairy and O/K de is dairy equipment.  

From The O/U: Marshmallow Fluff

Marshmallow Fluff, manufactured by Durkee-Mower, does not bear an O/U symbol on some 16 oz. containers due to a printing error, but it is, in fact, Kosher and pareve.  

From The COR: Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey “Mixed with Coca-Cola”

Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey “Mixed with Coca-Cola” RTD (pre-mixed ready to drink in cans), regular and Zero Sugar, is certified O/U pareve (even without O/U symbol).  However, Jack Daniels Whiskey products with “Cola”, without the “Coca-Cola” brand name (such as Whiskey & Cola or Black Jack Cola) are NOT certified Kosher.
