Due to reports of consumer confusion surrounding the use of this device, the O/U wishes to clarify that Shabbos Keeper is designed to enable food to be left in the oven before Shabbos and retrieved on Shabbos. It is not intended for the introduction of food into the oven on Shabbos – which is strictly forbidden. This is the case irrespective of whether the food items were previously cooked, roasted or baked and whether those are dry or wet.
