From The COR of Greater Detroit: Aldi and Trader Joe’s products

Aldi and Trader Joe’s frequently change suppliers for their store brands (private label) products.  The Kashrus status of these products, therefore, can change from week to week.  And in addition, there can sometimes be a confusing mixture on the shelves on these stores of identical products, some with acceptable Kashrus certification and some without.  Or some may be labeled pareve and some dairy.  Be careful to check each individual item label for proper Kashrus markings.

The following are two such recent changes in the Detroit area…

Earth Grown Organic Tofu (at Aldi) no longer bears certification

Trader Joe’s Thanksgiving Stuffing Seasoned Kettle Chips no longer bears Kosher certification.
