The Circle-V symbol is nearly identical to the more recent symbol used to indicate that a product is vegan.  This has caused much confusion for kosher consumers so the Vaad HaIr of St. Louis is modifying its kosher symbol to OVK inside an oval shape.  Consumers may notice the new symbol on store products.
