From The Star-K: Carolina Brown Rice

Star-K certified bags of Carolina brand brown rice with a best by date of September 2021 were found to be infested in Lakewood, N.J. area stores.  The infestation was traced to the distribution chain. Consumers should not use this product.  They are urged to return the rice to the store for a full refund.

Whitley Neill Gins (Lemnograss& Ginger and Rhubarb & Ginger) are NOT Kosher when  purchased in the UK.  Bottles purchased in the USA, Canada or Israel bearing the KLBD logo are kosher certified.

The label on Borenstein brand Vegetable Lasagna say s “O/ U Glatt Kosher and O/U  pareve.  The ingredient panel correctly lists dairy ingredients.  Consumers should be alerted by any  contradiction in the labeling and examine the contents of the meal before eating.

Klein’s Natural Dried Mango products with the following best-by dates: 9/23/20 9/26/20 10/24/20 have been found to have a high rate of infestation. Consumers are encouraged to do  a visual review of dried mango products at this time.

Season Asian Harvest Baby Corn is missing the O/U symbol.  This product is certified kosher under O/U supervision.  The O/U symbol has been inadvertently omitted from the label.  The product is certified kosher even without the O/U symbol appearing on the label.

Fruitfull Frozen Pecan Dessert is missing the “D” designation for dairy.  The O/U certifies Fruitfull Frozen Pecan Dessert as an O/UD (dairy) product.  This product contains dairy, as indicated in the ingredients statement.  Some labels bear an O/U pareve symbol.

From The Beis Din of Johannesburg – PNP Instant Oats 500 g.

PNP Instant Oats 500 g. is Kosher dairy.  However, the 750g is Kosher Pareve.  Though the correct Beis Din logo is printed, the front of the packaging is identical, and therefore this may cause confusion with current stock on the shelves.  PNP is in the process of changing the packaging for the dairy oats.
